Qivation adopted the Nano Photocatalytic Technology it can initiate a 24/7 round-the-clock disinfection cycle, decomposing airborne viruses, odor, bacteria, and other pollutants with visible light. How Does
Photocatalysis Work

  1. Photocatalysis uses light as a catalyst to initiate a chemical reaction after absorbing light energy. The process releases electron (-) from surfaces.
  2. The process allows the Oxygen (O2) and moisture (H2O) in the air to generate O2- (Superoxide anion) and generates •OH (hydroxyl radical), respectively.
  3. The O2- (Superoxide anion) and •OH (hydroxyl radical) generated will then create a redox effect in which the tiny organic substances (e.g., bacteria, odour, unpleasant smell, virus) are then converted into carbon dioxide (CO2) and water (H2O).
  4. The conversion decomposes organic compounds and releases them into the air

The technology can minimize the Organic substances inclusive pollutants (e.g bacteria, odour, unpleasant smell, virus) laying or near Qivation TiO2 Product removing odor and formaldehyde thru a normal air convention then the pollutants absorbed at the surface of Qivation TiO2 Product even with no light, the pollutants shall then decompose by touching on the surface of Qivation TiO2 Product by visible light or sunlight then converting them into clean air, purifying the air of the surrounding. The PIAJ testing standard is in accordance with the JIS  (Japanese Industrial Standard) and ISO Standard, which is the highest and recognized standard in Japan. The issuance of a PIAJ certificate must meet the performance standards, which are measured and examined through standardized and stringent testing procedures.

Our products have been tested by the Hong Kong Science and Technology Park under the field-emission electronic microscope and Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy. HKSTP proves that TiO2 can successfully adhere to our different materials and shapes of products. The material achieved JIS D 0205:1987 standard  *“Accelerated Weather test". which proves that under the conditions of outdoor exposure to weather (without artificial scratching or wiping), the maximum durability of the material can reach **10 years


After 3,000 hours (decomposition activity index ≧8.0) material effectiveness reduced by 60%, but still higher than the standard (decomposition activity index ≧5.0)

**The durability of titanium dioxide (TiO2) photocatalysts also depends on maintenance conditions. If it is scratched or wiped frequently, it will fall off/fail faster, and conversely, the validity period will be longer. The above test is data under conditions without manual scraping or wiping)
